Naval Officer leads the way for women, peace and security in Afghanistan To mark International Women's Day 2013, Captain Jennifer Wittwer - ADF Director National Action Plan for Women, Peace and Security was recognised as a Defence Woman of Influence. Captain Wittwer is one of our leading women in the armed forces.

Kay Danes, OAM, MHumRights

Kay Danes' experience as a political prisoner in Laos (2000-2001) and her humanitarian work across the Middle-east, Afghanistan and Asia, informs her research and global humanitarian work aimed at developing international protocols to protect humanitarian workers illegally detained. Her inspired global work has seen her speak at the UN and earned her an OAM in 2014.
